Membership in the Feedback Database is open to Every Air Emission Testing Body, regulatory agency that observes stack testing and clients of the testing bodies.
Every member has a profile in the Feedback Database. A profile has basic information about the member and a list of feedback left by those they had direct interaction with on previous stack testing. The feedback from past projects can be helpful for those planning future work.
Each legally identifiable testing body will have only one identifier and one e-mail address.
Each legally identifiable regulatory agency that observes stack tests will have only one identifier and one e-mail address.
Each legally identifiable client or source location will have only one identifier and one e-mail address.
Note: Since it is possible for a client to have testing purchased at both the plant and corporate levels or to have a primary contractor subcontract the stack test. The purchasing entity will be responsible for providing testing body with the one identifier and email address to be used.
For each stack test mobilization there can be only one feedback from each category about each of the other 2 categories. The test protocol will identify the email addresses to be used by each category (Tester, Agency & Client) for database feedback purposes.
Each test mobilization will be assigned a 8 character identifier to protect the identify of the project, client and agency.
Each test mobilization feedback will consists of:
Date of 1st test
process(es) tested
list of methods performed
positive, negative, or neutral rating,
and a short comment
How to use the Feedback Forum
Every eBay member has a profile in the Feedback Forum. A profile has basic information about the member and a list of feedback left by their trading partners from previous transactions. Learning to trust a member of the community has a lot to do with what their past customers or sellers have to say!
For each transaction, only the buyer and seller can rate each other by leaving feedback. Each feedback left consists of a positive, negative, or neutral rating, and a short comment. Leaving honest comments about a particular eBay member gives other Community members a good idea of what to expect when dealing with that member. Once it is left, the feedback becomes a permanent part of the member's profile.
Feedback scores and stars
Feedback ratings are used to determine each member's feedback score. A positive rating adds 1 to the score, a negative rating decreases it by 1, and a neutral rating has no impact. The higher the feedback score, the more positive ratings they've received from members. However, a member can increase or decrease another member's score by only 1 no matter how many transactions they share. Learn more about how scores are calculated.
The feedback score and the corresponding feedback star is shown next to the every member's user ID. A feedback score of at least 10 earns you a yellow star (). As your feedback score increases, you can earn different colored stars all the way to a red shooting star () for a score above 100,000! Your star is your symbol of trust and experience in the eBay community.

I launched eBay's AuctionWeb on Labor Day, 1995. Since then, the site has become more popular than I ever expected, and I began to realize that this was indeed a grand experiment in Internet commerce. By creating an open market that encourages honest dealings. I hope to make it easier to conduct business with strangers over the net.
Most people are honest. And they mean well. Some people go out of their way to make things right. I've heard great stories about the honesty of people here. But some people are dishonest. Or deceptive. This is true here, in the newsgroups, in the classifieds, and right next door. It's a fact of life. But here, those people can't hide. We'll drive them away. Protect others from them. This grand hope depends on your active participation. Become a registered user. Use our feedback forum. Give praise where it is due; make complaints where appropriate. For the past six months, I've been developing this system single-handedly, in my spare time. Along the way, I've dealt with complaints among participants. But those complaints have amounted to only a handful. We've had close to 10,000 auctions since opening. And only a few dozen complaints.
Now, we have an open forum. Use it. Make your complaints in the open. Better yet, give your praise in the open. Let everyone know what a joy it was to deal with someone. Above all, conduct yourself in a professional manner. Deal with others the way you would have them deal with you. Remember that you are usually dealing with individuals, just like yourself. Subject to making mistakes. Well-meaning, but wrong on occasion. That's just human. We can live with that. We can deal with that. We can still make deals with that. Thanks for participating. Good luck, and good business!
Regards,
Pierre Omidyar
Evaluating a Member's Reputation
Learning more about a member's feedback
For each transaction, the buyer and seller are allowed to rate each other by leaving feedback. Each feedback left consists of a rating (positive, negative, or neutral), and a short comment. These ratings that members leave for each other are used to determine individual member profiles. The member profile for eBay member "ebayrose" is shown below:
You can view an eBay member's profile by clicking on the User ID or the number in parentheses next to their User ID. For example, simply click on "3528" to view the profile for ebayrose (3528).
Feedback Score:
The feedback score represents the number of eBay members that are satisfied doing business with a particular member. It is usually the difference between the number of members who left a positive rating and the number of members who left a negative rating. In the example shown above, the feedback score is 3531 - 3 = 3528.
Learn more about how feedback scores are calculated.
Positive Feedback:
This represents positive ratings left by members as a percentage. In the example shown above, the positive feedback percentage is 3531 divided by 3531 + 3 = 99.9%.
Members who left a positive:
This represents the number of unique members who have given ebayrose a positive rating. If a member has had several transactions with ebayrose and leaves more than one positive rating, they will still only count once in this number. In the example shown above, 3531 unique members have left a positive rating.
Members who left a negative:
This represents the number of unique members who have left a negative rating for ebayrose. If a member has left multiple negative ratings, they will still count only once in this number.
All positive feedback received:
This represents the total number of positive feedback received for all transactions, including repeat customers. In this example, ebayrose has received 6587 positive ratings.
Recent ratings:
This table shows all of the ratings left for this member during the past month, 6 months, and 12 months. In the example shown above, ebayrose received 1 negative rating in the past month, 1 in the past 6 months, and 1 in the past one year.
Bid retractions:
This number shows the number of times ebayrose has retracted a bid in the past 6 months.

Information Collection
Registration:
In order to become a LinkedIn user, you must first create an account on this web site. To create an account you are required to provide the following contact information: name, email address, country, ZIP/postal code), a brief summary of your professional background (current occupation & networking objectives), and choose a password.
Profile Information:
Once a user, you may provide additional information in the Profile section describing your skills, professional experiences, and networking objectives. Providing additional information beyond what is required at registration is entirely optional, but enables you to better identify yourself and find new opportunities in the LinkedIn system. Your Profile information can only be viewed by other LinkedIn users in your network. We make strong efforts to prevent and discourage users from placing email addresses or other contact information in their Profile.
Cookies & Log Files:
Like most web sites, LinkedIn uses cookies and web log files to track site usage. A cookie is a tiny data file which resides on your computer which allows LinkedIn to recognize you as a user when you return to our site using the same computer and web browser. Unfortunately, if your browser settings do not allow cookies, you will not be able to use our website. Like the information you enter at registration or in your Profile, cookie and log file data is used to customize your experience on the web site.
One type of cookie, known as a ÒpersistentÓ cookie, is set once youÕve logged in to your LinkedIn account. The next time you visit the LinkedIn web site, the persistent cookie will allow us to recognize you as an existing user so you will not need to log in before using the service. In order to access or change any of your private information (like a credit card number), however, you must log in securely again with your password even if your computer contains your persistent cookie. Additionally, if you log out of the LinkedIn site you will need to re-enter your password the next time you visit in order to log in to your account. Another type of cookie, called a ÒsessionÓ cookie, is used to identify a particular visit to the LinkedIn site. Session cookies expire after a short time or when you close your web browser.
Due to the communications standards on the Internet, when you visit the LinkedIn web site we automatically receive the URL of the site from which you came and the site to which you are going when you leave LinkedIn. We also receive the Internet protocol (IP) address of your computer (or the proxy server you use to access the World Wide Web), your computer operating system and type of web browser you are using, as well as the name of your ISP. This information is used to analyze overall trends to help us improve the LinkedIn service, but is not linked to personally identifiable information in any way.
Children:
Children are not eligible to use our service and we ask that minors (under the age of 18) do not submit any personal information to us or use the service.
Information Use
LinkedIn is an online service dedicated to helping all types of professionals more effectively connect with one another. The information you choose to provide on this site is used to help you describe yourself to other users. In addition, LinkedIn collects certain types of information in order to operate and improve our service to you and other users. LinkedIn, Ltd is the sole owner of the information collected on this site.
LinkedIn Communications:
LinkedIn will communicate with you through email and notices posted on this website. These include a series of up to five welcome emails which help inform new users about various features of the service. Please be aware that you will always receive certain emails from LinkedIn related to the proper functioning of your account, such as email notices when another user in your network sends you an opportunity. LinkedIn may send you promotional information unless you have opted out of receiving such information.
Customized Content:
Information you provide at registration or in your Profile section is also used to customize your experience on the web site. For example, when you login to your account we will display the screen names of new users who have recently joined your network.
Information Sharing
Sharing Information With Third Parties:
LinkedIn takes the privacy of our users very seriously. We will never sell, rent, or otherwise provide your personally identifiable information to any third parties for marketing purposes. We will only share your information with third parties to carry out your instructions and to provide specific services. For instance, we use a credit card processing company to bill users for subscription fees. These third parties do not retain, share, or store any personally identifiable information except to provide these services and are bound by strict confidentiality agreements which limit their use of such information.
Communications Between Users:
Many emails you initiate through LinkedIn, an invitation sent to a non-user for instance, will list your email address and name in the header of the message. Emails you initiate may also provide aggregate information about your network (for instance how many people are in your network), but will never list the people to whom youÕre directly connected. Other communications that you initiate through the LinkedIn website, like a request for contact, will list your name as the initiator but will not include your personal contact information. Your contact information will only be shared with another user if both of you have indicated that you would like to establish contact with each other.
Legal Disclaimer:
It is possible that we may need to disclose personal information when required by law. We will disclose such information wherein we have a good-faith belief that it is necessary to comply with a court order, ongoing judicial proceeding, or other legal process served on our company or to exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
Accessing and Changing Your Account Information
You can review the personal information you provided us and make any desired changes to the information, or to the settings for your LinkedIn account, at any time by logging in to your account on the LinkedIn website and editing the information on your Profile page. You can also close your account through the LinkedIn website. If you close your LinkedIn account, we will remove your name and other personally identifiable information from our database.
Security
In order to secure your personal information, all communications between you and the LinkedIn website are protected through secure socket layer (SSL) encryption. Additionally, private information like your address or credit card number can be accessed only by providing your password.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
LinkedIn may update this privacy policy. In the event there are significant changes in the way we treat your personal information, we will send a notice to the primary email address specified in your LinkedIn account or by displaying a prominent notice on this site.
