Defining the Current Need

The first step in hiring additional staff is for the group to define precisely the staffing need. Sometimes called job descriptions, these specifications get everyone on the same page making evaluation of candidates much easier. They sometimes point out the fact that additional staff is not required, and the need can be met internally.
